地球上の陸地面積は約130億ヘクタール。2026年現在の森林面積は約40億ヘクタールですが、 現在でも人類活動により年間1,000万ヘクタール前後の森林が減少しています。 人類の有史以前、森林は地球上におよそ60億ヘクタール存在したとされていましたが、 現代においても森林の減少は止まっていません。 リバーサルは、地球規模での森林面積減少を防ぐこと、 また毎年、減少した面積以上の森林を再生させていくことを目指す会社です。

Earth's total land area spans approximately 13 billion hectares. As of 2026, only about 4 billion hectares remain forested — down from roughly 6 billion in prehistoric times. Even today, approximately 10 million hectares disappear annually due to human activity. Reversal is a company committed to halting global forest loss and regenerating more forest area than is lost, every single year.
